UW-Madison Libraries’ South Asian Collections:
Their Use and Their History

SA Talk TMA

This talk will present students and faculty/staff with an overview of the library collections and their history. This includes items in our digital collections, and the foci of our collections.  In addition I will present on digital databases available to all library users pertaining to South Asian Studies, as well as current collaborative efforts to continue excellent collections in Madison as well as throughout the region, the nation and the world.

Todd is the Bibliographer at Memorial Library for Scandinavian Humanities, Classics, Jewish and South Asian Studies.  In addition, he is an Associate Lecturer in Scandinavian Studies. He has an MA in Scandinavian Philology and an MA in Library and Information Studies from 2007 and last semester he successfully defended his PhD in Scandinavian Philology on Disability in Saga Literature. His interests are in linguistics, etymology, lexicography, linguistic patterns, linguistic exchanges and hybrids, disability studies, and studying receptions of the under-represented in the world. He teaches one course per semester.
