Aseem Ansari

Aseem leads a team of scientists studying a range of interdisciplinary problems of how information from the genome is stored and transferred. He is also the Co-Founder of the S.N. Bose Scholars Program, Founder and Director of the Khorana Scholars Program, and a Founder of the WINstep Forward program. Prior to joining the UW-Madison Faculty in 2002, Aseem was a Helen Hay Whitney Fellow at Harvard University with Mark Ptashne. Aseem has received a number of honors and awards, including the Romnes Faculty Fellowship Award (2011) and National Science Foundation CAREER award (2008-2013). Furthermore, Aseem has partaken in a number of Professional Services including the U.S.-India Joint Commission Meeting on Science and Technology Cooperation in Washington, DC. (2010) and the Editorial Advisory Board at John Wiley & Sons Ltd. (2007).
