Biography
Jeremy studies Indian and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, with a particular focus on how metaphysical and epistemological questions intersect with religious and ethical practices. In addition to writing, editing, and translating, he teaches in the UW–Madison Philosophy Department. Jeremy is an editor with 84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha, a nonprofit dedicated to making the Tibetan Buddhist canon available in English translation. Alongside his academic training, his interests and areas of specialization reflect nine years spent in a Tibetan monastic college in India. Jeremy was a Ho Family Buddhism Public Scholar between 2024 and 2026, and his research has also been supported by Tsadra (2023), the Ho Family Program in Buddhist Studies (2022), and the Fulbright-Hays (2021).
