Laura Hammond, Administrative Director of the South Asia Summer Language Institute (SASLI), was one of eight academic staff members honored with Excellence Awards by Chancellor Rebecca Blank. Hammond’s award is in recognition of her service as administrative director of SASLI, as well her outstanding work and leadership with the South Asian Flagship Languages Initiative and Indonesian Flagship Language Initiative. These programs led to the establishment of the Turkish Flagship Language Initiative here at UW-Madison. Please join us in congratulating Laura Hammond and all the honorees.
