Professor Gudrun Bühnemann Publishes New Book on Patañjali

The Center for South Asia congratulates Professor Gudrun Bühnemann on the publication of her new book, Scholar, Serpent, Yogin, and Devotee: The Many Faces of Patañjali in Indian Traditions. The book explores Patañjali’s multifaceted roles in Indian traditions, highlighting him as a grammarian, yoga scholar, physician, teacher, ascetic, and devotee of the Dancing Śiva.
