We are thrilled to share that Shahana Munazir, PhD candidate in Anthropology and a student affiliate at the Center for South Asia, has been awarded a research grant from the Center for Islam in the Contemporary World (CICW). This grant will support Shahana’s ongoing PhD work exploring practice of ethics, aspirations, care, and everyday religiosity among Muslim women in India. The CICW’s annual theme, Islam on the Edges, aligns closely with her research, which brings critical attention to voices and experiences often marginalized in dominant narratives.
